The band "Strange Advance" used a Mellotron 4-track for several years 
(1982 - 1985).  You may recall the tunes "Worlds Away" and "We Run".  
The SA keyboardist Drew Arnott used the 4-track extensively during a 
25 city 1985 tour.  It was great to see a Mellotron used on stage in 
1985, even though it was a "strange" one, it sounded just great!
