Re: [Mellotronists] Re: Streetly Web-site and M4000

Dear All,

Just to put everyone in the picture. The M4000 is now underway after a long
wait that has seemed interminable. It was no individual's fault, just
circumstance and the last vital bit has been trialed and deemed to be functioning.

Anyone in business will know that to specially purchase keyboards, motors
and whatever else months ago and then sit on them due to an unforseen delay is a
financial disaster. That is what we have faced, anticipating a much
earlier start. We've had to keep busy with services and a few restorations. Not
what we planned at all.

Andy Kinch saw the working prototype but did not see every facet, as we
still need to keep a couple of features under wraps. We want to suprise our long
suffering customers who had the faith to make a deposit some months back.
We are thankful for their patience.

When we embarked on this venture, a friend and businessman said I should add
at least 50% to the time scale involved and another 50% for bad luck. He
was right! Next time I will listen and take note. It's a learning curve and
steep at that.

Best,

Martin (and JB)
