Greeitngs Mister Moto and everyone,
Bought my LP of "Ummagumma" in 1969 at age 14 (almost 15).
Played it on my parents' console hi-fi late at night.
I played and played "Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun,"
until I chose to record onto cassette .
Got my dad pissed once when I cranked the volume of the scream
in "Careful With That Axe Eugene." Was careful not to "Meddle"
with P.F. music henceforth. Was relegated to :
"A saucer full of milk" for the cat.....Ummagumma was my first exposure of P.F.'s use of Mellotron.
Shortly later on I discovered the previous LP's .There might be another re-release of Pink Floyd material in
different CD-DVD versions as tribute (a.k.a. marketing) to
Syd's passing.Another "old-timer" to note. The Tron-Meister Mike Pinder
will turn 65 this December of 2006."One Of These Days" , I'll see 'yas on the "Dark Side of the
Moon." Heh-heh ! Sorry, a "Momentary Lapse Of Reason. "
Gotta " Run Like Hell ", as I'm "Learning To Fly."
Cheers, - the lunatic on the grass
