Mellotronists

Hello all:

Dee's tron #1294 was at Tron-to MKII getting an overhaul. It has the 
typical flute/violins/cello tapes. My friend Andrew now owns it, having 
gotten it for a steal at $500 from a guy who's name escapes me, but who 
played bass and tron in a Led Zep tribute band. Warren Brubacher I 
think was his name. Warren offered it to me first and gave me a run 
down on how he answered the newspaper ad, and went to Dee's house in 
Thornhill and made the deal way back when.  Dee also had a Hammond T 
model, which he was trying to unload as well. Anyway I already own 2 
trons, so I put Warren on to Andrew, who very scrupulously waited until 
rent day, knowing Warren was a bit down on employment, and made the 
deal. Tron 1294 now sits in storage surrounded by 8 Hammond organs. 
Klaatu also utilized tron 1167, the Nightwinds tron, which I now own. 
Perhaps it is the one which was rented early on? Dee produced the 
Nightwinds album, recorded around '78 or '79 and not released until the 
early 90's by The Laser's Edge.
