Moody Blues - The Lost Performances: Live in 1970 - DVD (Not Recommended ;/ )

2006-03-03 by mlcsixand78s

Hello all "Tron-heads"
FYI:

You might like to know (if this has not been posted before...)

I picked up this DVD a while ago. IT IS NOT LIVE. It is a mimed & lip
synced performance in the studio to an audience. Ok, I think some of
the vocals are live.
The music is from the studio albums tracks. ARRGG!!! Not live and NO
MELLOTORN ;/ ;) Pinder is "playing" a Hammond. (only valid on the
opening of the track "Lazy Day" ;)

I was really hoping to see some up close, LIVE, Pinder, Mellotroning,
but no, (SIGH, Argg, and oh well). At least I didn't pay full price
for the DVD. It is cool for a hardcore Moody Blues fan but if live
Mellotron and music is desired then this is NOT THE DVD TO GET.

A Hammond? Hmmm...? How did that get in there? Probably they used the
TV studio Hammond that was available. Maybe they didn't have a
Mellotron to prop up on stage? Perhaps the Hammond was the closest? A
Farfisa? No, not heavy and big enough. The Hammond thing will do. It
looks closed enough (maybe something the producer suggested...;)
