I've used M-Tron for some time now and have been very satisfied with the sounds and playability. I think it's silly to make comparisons to a real 'tron because it's just not, but to my ears M-Tron sounds wonderful; it definitely satisfies my craving for "that sound". However, I don't gig (and consequently have to carry a PC or laptop) and I have the "luxury" of not having a real 'tron to A/B it next to. It's a combination of advantages/alternatives with the sound being one of them.
