Hi, I'm planning to get a new tape frame and was thinking of the following sound selections: Church Organ, Russian Choir, and a Woodwind sound. Anyway, my question refers to the Woodwinds. Any advice appreciated. I'm not really considering Chamber Woodwinds because I envision that to go on a different/later frame. I want a thick woodwind ensemble with a range of sounds (like including bass and high stuff and so on). From Streetly, this would seem to indicate Medieval Woodwinds. Yet the sample on their sounds page is pretty short, dry, noisy, etc. Having real music samples is a good way to judge things but comparisons are hard. Other sounds may have more extensive samples and effects and so forth. Oboe is even played over a background of strings. So can anyone tell me if Medieval Woodwinds is a really good overall WW ensemble, or do you think it's kind of weak or any other quirks to point out, etc.? The fact it's described as "Medieval" is really neither here or there to me - could be kind of cool, I just really want a good "wide" overall WW ensemble. Thanks for any detailed advice or feedback you can give me.
