I have an EMI tron as well. It has a rougher workmanship to it, but plays
okay. I'm sure the head azimuth is off too. Because it was my first machine I
have sort of a soft spot for it.
Acquiring it involved driving with some friends in a two seater van
to Pennsylvania to pick it up. My first Mellotron quest.
Lots of fun watching my friends fall over in the kitchen chairs I put in
the back of the van by the way, especially around sharp turns.

feel a touch insulted by this commentary? And I will
ask in earnest; Is an EMI considered less of a 'tron
in our community?Dear All,My first tron was an EMI that needed a fair bit of work to make it play properly, still a Mellotron though...(Never a kit either!)Norm
