I'm waiting to hear back from Jimmy on this, but I'm pretty sure the flutes used on "Improvised Waves" are Ian McDonald's. The reason I'm not sure is that they're in the mix now and don't have a ton of high end (they're mellow), so I'm thinkin' I could go either way (I need to hear that high D!!! :-) ).
