MONEYPIT - Mellotron Owners Needing Excessive Yen for Purchases for Improving their 'Trons - held *two* get-togethers this summer. Mellotron Professor Jerry Korb reworked M400 #310 for Dave "Zappaboggs" Schwartz and M400 #500 for Bernie Kornowicz. We visited Dave's house in New Jersey for the unveiling of #310, and we had a lot of fun and a great BBQ---and a special guest. For #500 it meant a trip to the Mellotron Ranch in Vermont to visit the Korbs. So...What was under the paint on Bernie's machine? Could it be stripped and stained, as he wanted---or was it a big let-down?
