The 'strings' and 'flutes' sounds are Mellotron. I think it's safe to 
say that *any* sound played back on the Mellotron has the qualities 
exhibited by these sounds; an endearing out-of-tune quality, a midrange 
'honk' and a very slight wow-and-flutter. The wonderful thing about 
Mellotrons is that you can sample one note-by-note and the result won't 
sound exactly like a real one!
