This kind of reminds me of a small hour-long weekly series that launched on PBS TV a couple years ago...these two guys ran around the countryside in a converted ambulance, and stopped in at every thrift store, flea market and garage sale they happened across. Their adventures were based around looking for weird stuff, including rare kitsch erotica/exotica and hometown LP's, bakelite radios, toy cars, cool clothes, and some one-of-a-kind things that they came across, like an old Makaha skateboard, a Hohner melodica, and an autographed bowling ball. Well, after about the third adventure, the ambulance began breaking down, and the lads themselves had to pull over and sell everything they picked up. So, I guess that's why the show didn't continue. They should have got some underwriting/sponsors...like maybe Mattel, Rhino Records, Casio, Magnavox, Nickel Ads...y'know...someone in the collector's circle of things.
