I just recently purchased a mellotron M400 with the kind help of Jimmy
Moore. Since I have been a mellotron enthusiast for 30 years I am initially
wanting to get frames with the classic sounds. However the Russian Choir
sounds reaaly good and someone mentioned taping a woodwind quartet which is
also very interesting. The frames are costly for three sounds so you need to
be pretty choosy about the sound combinations. Since I don't always dwell in
the past any modifications with recent technology that could be incorporated
into the M400 would be an interest to me also. Again, I would be interested
in getting at least one of the tape frame cases when they become available.
Anyway I am thrilled with my new-to-me-tron and sincerely appreciate all of
Jimmy's help and thanks to Michael for his total friendliness in completing
the transaction. It was a long hauI from Iowa to the eastcoast and back but
worth every mile. love my tron.
