From his own website, here is Mike Pinder's response... "This is a typical technique used at that time for recording for television etc. Taped backing tracks were used for the instruments and some backing vocals were in the mix. Tony Clarke put the backing tracks together. We performed the vocals live. You'll notice I was sitting at a Hammond B3 organ and not a mellotron for the mellotron parts. It is what it is and I was happy to see it resurface 34 years later. I think it conveys the essence of the band and our early club dates. There was such little footage from this period and I hope you enjoy it for what it is. Cheers, Mike"
