Here we go again!! Is there really any need for all this nastiness when the facts about this one tron were dubious as stated at best? I go with Jerry on this. "there will always be a Streetly camp and a DK-camp" and it looks like there will always be bad feeling between them. I'm not really interested in all the bad history crap and I really wish the insults and name-calling could be kept private. The purpose of this list (I thought) was to provide a help and interest forum for people who are passionate about Mellotrons but if people want to sling mud at each other they should do it elsewhere. Regarding the two camps; I for one plan to sit in a place I can get the best service for my tron and at the moment that's right between the two. I have no experience of Dave or Markus's ability to quickly fix or provide technical info on M300's so I rely on JB for that and so far he's fixed electronic problems very swiftly. Also you can phone him seemingly at any time and he'll be very helpful. However - I've just had some dealings with DK, I spoke to him on the phone recently. He is certainly still passionate about the Mellotron but does leave most things up to Markus these days because he too is fed up of the mud-slinging. - He could not have been more helpful and in a way that really he needn't have been. Thanks Dave (hopefully that will filter through to him). So we have a choice of two main suppliers that you can use for different things mellotronic - that has to be a good thing! John M300/005
