Dear All,
I used a Philips Philicorda (single manuel transistor keyboard) volume pedal
on the 'Black Melly' used on England's Garden Shed. This was a photo-cell
type. I can't remember how it was wired in ... I think it was
straightforward. It had a tremendous sweep; far greater than the 'guitar
type volume pedals; it offered greater control over the signal... never
crackled... and rarely went wrong (just once, I think; and needed a new
bulb).
Slow Mellotron attack became (for those who know the album) a feature on
Three Piece Suite and Poisoned Youth.
