Hmmm.  I thought I remembered his opening bid being $600.

The listing was quite clear that the item was non-functional, 
included no disks, and if I recall, it received no bids because the 
opening bid was set at either $1,000,00 or $1,500.00 - the price 
range that functional units have previously sold on eBay for, 
including one that looked brand-new with all 8 disks and some extras 
that I almost bid on about a year and a half ago.
