m400 number 1220 arrived at my house last saturday evening. it has seen better days. it's kinda stinky - it has that "damp mildewed basement" stench about it. many parts are showing signs of rust and corrosion. i am letting it sit and "dry out" for a few days before i dive in. it had the "muff" on it, but that stank so badly it stayed in my garage. (how the hell does one clean THOSE things? will a dry cleaner even do it?) it has the original pedal with it. the whole shell is a bit wobbly. original knobs are intact. front panel does not want to come out. back panel was held on with a large woodscrew (eeek!). as i make my way more inside i will post the status/condition. if i get his unit happy that will be two (in addition to my own) model m400s that i have saved! AND... i will have two working units at my house for at least a few days! peace, jeff ======================================================== mailto:jeffc@... http://www.netaxs.com/~jeffc/ ======================================================== "Since at the beginning and end of our lives we are so dependent on others' kindness, how can it be that in the middle we neglect kindness towards others?" - Tenzin Gyatso - His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama ========================================================
