My brother Gareth and I are staying at the Calafia, which is the sister hotel of the Araiza. Anyone want to look us up, we're under Steven Davies-Morris, arriving sometime after 3pm on Friday. We promise to blare "Green Miata Baja Bound" loudly as we cross the border and again when we pull into the hotel parking lot! The rate was $73 a night per room for a 2 double bed room, so that seems reasonable for what looks like quite a nice hotel. I didn't ask about single bed room prices -- sorry. But tell them that you're there for Baja Prog and that you want the convention rate. It's quite exciting to hear that the Araiza is all booked up. The reservations desk clerk told me that it's because of Baja Prog. He seemed pretty excited about the festival and what it means to Mexicali. Fingers crossed for a really good turn-out!
