Wow! Someone else who remembers Sigmund Snopek III! The stuff he did sounds like it should have wound up on Ralph Records...has an ever- shifting Supersister/Zappa time change...one of the few longwinded projects that is both very cohesive and tight, but keeps its sense of humor. Imagine C.W. Vrtacek in Gong. I can see Cuneiform reissuing this stuff. I sort of expected Jon Brion to be more on the level of Patrick Warren or Mitchell Froom... the great work that percolates up from the depths all over the Macy Gray album "On How Life Is" I think was seriously overlooked. Hi solo album really didn't knock me flat...but I've heard his live performances are quite stunning, even though his quivver of obscure keyboard instruments certainly isn't the spotlight.
