Actually, John, Martinge and JB usually prefer bitter or strong ale 
for that sort of job. IPA (India Pale Ale for non-British beer fans) 
might do in a pinch, though. One word of caution to all you 
owners reading this: the Streetlys generally DRINK the ale while 
they're cleaning the machine, although, one can't be certain what 
might happen when they imbibe too much of the stuff...

Rick, FX10030 (in Montreal to do a TV show -- and tonight I get 
to see Pierre Veilleux's mellotrons, including his MkII which I 
haven't seen in person since Peter Csanky refused to sell it to me 
in 1973. I did talk him out of 10030, though. Still, I've always 
lusted after the MkII. At least it found a good home!)
