I've heard some 'Tron on Odessa too--it's been a while. That fuzzy red cover sticks out like a sore thumb in my record collection...like those Hot Tuna rekkids w/all the stripes. When I heard about Maurice's passing...that just hit me like a ton of bricks. I reach for Idea, Horizontal, the brilliant debut..and they do some haunting songs with some lush arrangements and Maurice's signature quivvering vox is one of the greatest voices ever. Songs like "World" from Horizontal with that spooky organ, and the guitars that come out and bite like on the title track to Idea... I lost track of the Bee Gees after the Nights On Broadway album. For a while there in the mid 70's, LP's like Life In A Tin Can, Mr. Natural and Trafalgar were all over the bargain bins. I picked up a copy of Robin Gibb's "Robins Reign" a few years ago. That was one spooky album--it must have been recorded in a cathedral or at the opposite end of a tunnel.
