Martin, you should probably clarify something here.  This will be a new set 
of all original notes, not a set made from that middle C note by pitch 
shifting or some shortcut like that.  i.e., the reason that you want the 
middle C note is to verify that the individual has the tape set in question, 
and then to render it useless before replacing it (so that they won't have 
two sets).

Forgive me if that was obvious to everyone, but my first thought was "why 
does he want the middle c note"?  It's early here, and maybe I've been 
spending too much time with my sampler.

Anyway, that EMI tape stock is great and it cured the wobblies in my MKII 
when I recently replaced the tapes.  My only concern is that Martin will run 
out of it (there is a limited supply) before I need to do my next set.
