Mellotronists

- Is the *sound* fading in and out, the motor speeding up/down, or
both? That would make a huge difference in what you would look at.

- What motor controller do you have? If CMC-10, upgrade.

- How's the drive belt for the motor?

- Is the keyboard seated properly?

- If you wiggle the pitch knob, does it correct or cause the problem?
Same with the volume knob? Perhaps those pots are dirty.

- Did you inspect all connectors?

- Could the adjustment pots on the motor controller be a little touchy?

- Do you have "screeching cable rot"---the fade in/out version? (Look
it up on my site if you do not know what "screeching cable rot" is.)
