Well, in my opinion Lark's Tongues in Aspic is their greatest, and includes some fantastic mellotron parts. I recommend you that one, even 'though it is very experimental. Islands is not that good from the mellotron point of view, but I love it, it has a charmy nice, light jazz calmy feel, and Lizard has some pretty good psychedelic mellotron, very reminiscent of the very very early king crimson in some tracks (mostly on the opening and closing tracks). These three albums in my opinion show some of the best king crimson, so you definitely should check them out. Best. Nacho (Mark VI #48)
