Hello all, Well I have been following this group for some time and would like to say that finally after much hard work and waiting, I am officialy an owner of a brand new Mellotron MK VI! I have got to say that , having been a fan for so long and having never played let alone touched a real Mellotron, It was like a dream come true! Sounds amazing and plays like a dream!! Its funny cause I kept telling myself that the first thing I would play was "Strawberry Fields Forever" butI was so shook up about actually touching the thing, I opted for the much more simplistic, yet eaqually powerfull, "In the Court of THe Crimson King".. It was then I realized how truly amazing the Machine was.. Markus Resch really outdid himself, and I am happy to be part of the mellotron comunity as a player and not just a dreamer as I once was only a week ago.. Not to discourage the dreamers of course! So with that out of the way I wold like to ask the group this question: What Mellotron sounds are being used on the Strawberry Fields Demo" on the Anthology? I know that there is brass but it sounds at times like violins too so I cant really tell.. Also, what tapes are being used for the pitch swoops ? Flute? Guitar? On the Anthology version of Penny Lane, is the solo oboe a mellotron? Thanks for your help! Derrick Espino MK VI #027
