It's the email that I most look forward to every day, not only
for the valuable information and wide range of opinion and criticism,
but also for the devastating wit and humor delivered by a number of our
members.
But don't we all enjoy the anger and vitriol too? I know I do. It all works
out well in the end, and I'm sure if we all got together in one big room with
lots of cold beer and a boxing ring... no one would get in the ring but many of
us would threaten to.
I think it's time to remember why we're here. I think it's all about
contribution, especially the positive kind. I, as much as anyone have strayed on
occasion, but apparently the good has outweighed the bad. I also think that Mike
has put out a ton of good information, good humorand good music.
Don, let the forum rock. If you become an adversary, no matter
what, you should not use that as an excuse to punt someone. That just shows
weakness. People should quit if they feel like it; they should not be tossed off
unless they threaten another member.
If you wish to privately involve yourself with a member who may be
pushing too far, that's great. That should be what you do along with keeping the
Internet whores away (although they are fun to mess with).
What you did with Mike would be akin to saying that since it's your
football, you get to throw him out of the game because he pissed you off. You
need to consider the rest of us the players as well.
