known about "the Wichita Mellotron" since 1982 and have literally been
trying to track the damn thing down for twenty-five years. Finally a
representative of the actual owner contacted me about it a couple weeks ago
and offered it to me for $3500, but I really didn't want to pay that much
for an instrument that would cost another couple thousand to make right and
turned it down. It was listed on eBay later that night.
