I'm also a long time fan/listener too and
see them live for the full effect of "Snakes and Arrows'.
Brilliant work from a band that never
ceases to entertain me!
Geddy Lee had a Korg X7 with a Moog
Phatty on top, so who knows what the X7 was controlling.
His bass work was more predominant than
ever, if you can imagine that!
I admit to being highly biased, but they
blew me away in every respect.

a listener of theirs since way back (even if they are Canadian! ;)
I'd been disappointed in the last few albums but the new one is
surprisingly better. Also surprising is their use of a mellotron one
of the tracks. On the Special Edition that I picked up there is a
video where Geddy Lee says it's probably the first time they used one
since a song called "Tears" from 2112. The video shows Geddy
recording the tron strings on and talking about it's qualities
(unfortunately it's mixed way down on the final product...).
