Something like MkII Brass with slow Leslie can sound rather luscious if used sparingly (to my ears at least, but then I've always been a bit partial to the odd psychedelic swirl here and there!), but the combination of 3 Violins and fast Leslie sounds just plain nasty - a classic case of 'gilding the lily' if ever there was one!
