I have an M300 which has just 33 notes on the right hand manual and to be honest the worst thing about it is the lack of range at the top which ends in the top C of the standard mellotron range. You just can't get those searing top violin notes which are much more useful than the extended lower end range of down to E on the right hand manual. Also because all non-M300 sounds have to be stretched to reach down to E they begin to sound a bit unsual. However - this is just a small irritation in what is basically the next best thing to a MkII and I love to bits in every other way.
