I was lucky enough to catch Aimee Mann playing live in Manchester last month. They played some of the stuff from the Magnolia soundtrack, plenty of sampled tape replay keyboards to be had by all. So do they have samples of the Chamby when they are touring or do they just use mellotron samples? Also, speaking of innovative use of mellotron sampling did anyone catch the Flaming Lips performance on "Recovered". They did a stunning live interpretation of Kylie's "Can't get you out of my head" which I would really like to hear again... bizarre but brilliant, with tons of sampled 'tron.
