Mellotronists

I just picked up the BJH LIVE remaster and it got me thinking...did
anyone ever put MK2 sounds on their 300? Did they sound any different
as a result of the 300 amplifiers? I can see it might've been cool to
have the M300 strings and the MK2 strings on separate tracks...MK2
brass...maybe later the choir and cellos from the 400 library. I think
it would have been a nice configuration to eliminate a lot of those
stock 300 organ-ish sounds and replace them with more orchestral stuff.
