Robert Laughton sold his 4-Track to Ryo Sekene. Ergo, this white one must be that formerly of Strange Advance. I haven't seen the blue one since 1981, and I only know of a black 4-Track, not a red-painted Maytag. Anyone else can help clarify this ? --Jerry Korb This is the response I received from the seller of the eBay 4-track in its entirety. I make no comment other than confessing my skepticism. F1 "My name is Mark Lewis and Dave Kean knows me. I hadn't planned to sell the Tron but due to the deaths of my mother and brother (within 2.5 months of each other) and unforseen financial problems. I am forced to sell it. I haven't been able to locate a serial number on the 4-Track. It was originally owned by a guy in San Diego named Dave Purol (if I remember correctly). He had 2 trons and used them for a radio show he used to do called "The Dave the Mouth Show". He sold the 4-Track to me and had a custom anvil flight case for it which I regret not having bought it. Overall the tron is in good shape. I have some spare voice cards for it somewhere but I have been overwhelmed with other matters. I had bought the tron because I like interesting, unusual, sounds and I like the natural sounds (and quirks) of the tron. I typically do alternative types of music. Keep in touch!"
