If you can find it give a listen to Charley Musselwhite's first lp "Stand Back" (Vanguard 1966) with Barry Goldberg on keys and Harvey Mandel on guitar and Harvey's first solo lp "Christo Redentor" I actually got to see these guys in Chicago in a bar on Wabash Ave back in late 60's and personally I don't think Stevie Ray comes close.
