I'm not sure I'm following you here; when you say, "ATR is taking
over Quantegy reel tape business", I assume that you are referring to
market share, insofar as (existing) manufacturing facilities for the
two are quite distinct from one another, with Quantegy being located
in Alabama and ATR being in Pennsylvania. I believe that ATR is
using at least some of what was once BASF and AGFA's manufacturing
equipment.

As far as the future of the Quantegy name and trademark, I haven't
heard anything further on that yet. Perhaps you can shed some light
if you have more information. (But keep it brief, I wouldn't want to
go too long on this off-topic discussion!!go too l

RMGI is now manufacturing what was the Emtec line, which IMHO, is a better
tape than Quantegy (i.e., StudioMaster 900 vs 456). Better high end, more
headroom.

Haven't heard a thing about ATR/Quantegy.

My new supplier in L.A. has still some NOS and lightly used Quantegy 456,
Emtex 900 and 3M 996. _http://www.tapetape.com_ (http://www.tapetape.com)
