I was very fortunate last summer to be able to take my 400 out as a 
guest in a loval band in the Cleveland area.  From my little 
experience doing this I can tell you that my preference is to have 
some reverb and/or delay between the source and amp.  I run mine 
thru a Mackie mixer and loop thru a Digitek procesor.  Playing "dry" 
just sounds lifeless and a little delay and echo gives the strings 
and choir more "space". I tend to use less on flute though.  If you
