The Streetly Electronics Mellotron Sample Library found at http://www.blackcat.demon.co.uk/tron/ has been updated again. Have a look out for the new 'Louise Davis' Vibrato and Pizzicato 'Cellos, as well as the Glocks/Tubular bells split, the Rick Sanders electric violin and (drum roll) * * B i r o t r o n C h o i r * * Not the washed out and shitty sounding thing found on the M-Tron (or on a Birotron, for that matter) but the *real deal* - a recording taken straight from the original master tapes. I think this one is quite wonderful. I also have apologies to offer for some readers, notably those who contributed samples to the site. The Demon web space is limited to 20Mb (or 100Mb for a month) and so I have had to get rid of a couple of longer samples, edit down some others and reduce the lot to 96kbps, which is not my idea of joy but it's necessary. Apologies to you all, particularly Norm Leete whose rather lovely Sad Strings sample was the most hit upon thing on the site. (A bit like Norm, actually) Lots more to follow. All comments welcome as ever. Mike Dickson (tron@...) M400 #996 The Official Cynic of Streetly Electronics Streetly Sample Library http://www.blackcat.demon.co.uk/tron/
