Brake master cylinder

Brake master cylinder

2010-06-15 by marcos3v5613

Hi all,
I have a tube frame 1970 3litre volvo with a single chamber brake master cylinder ( whick looks suspiciously like the clutch master cylinder on my MGB), has any one upgraded to a more modern dual chamber master cylinder? I'm more concerned about mounting in the existing bracket, of course with the plumbing I'll be using flex lines to accomodate the movable pedal box, Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Michael

IF YOU CHANGE OVER TO THE DUAL MASTER CYL., the factory also installed a differential valve that balances the front and rear pressures. I can't remember which car the master cyl. came from, but Rory can supply you with that info. I know that some 1971 3L Volvo powered cars had this setup. I had one in the late '70's.
