Marcos Gullwing visit by former owner/racing driver

Fellow Marcos Maniacs,
Windows 7: I wanted simpler, now it's simpler. I'm a rock star.
Yesterday was a special day for our family: Tim Lalonde visited us here in New York, USA, together with Tim's niece Susannah and nephew Tom and their children. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed a tour of the academic campus and grounds together here at West Point.
Tim was kind enough to deliver my copy of Jem Marsh's new book of Marcos Cars, which had been signed by Jem, Stephen Minoprio and Tim -- all of whom owned Gullwing HOO144 in the past. We had a wonderful time! This was Tim's second visit to see us, the first time being several years earlier when we lived in Arizona. Hopefully we'll be visiting Tim in England sometime next year.
I've attached a few photos of Tim's visit, just for fun. HOO144 is currently in her trailer, waiting for the freshly rebuilt Tran-X gearbox to arrive from California (work by Dave Bean Engineering - Lotus) and the 1000cc engine to return from Quicksilver Race Engines with new Elgin steel camshaft and Pertronix distributor.
Best Regards,
Andy
