1972 GT Coupe for Sale -Triumph Engine

2005-02-28 by last_triumph

Hi Chaps, I know England is a long way away and the exchange rate is
poor at the moment, but I guess you guys arn't exactly falling over
used Marcos every day, so I thought someone might be interested in
mine?

Due to family reasons I am forced to sell my beloved Marcos. It is
the last of the 11 Triumph engined cars built in 1971 before the
factory closed. Only about 7 of these cars still exist, and only 3 or
4 still have the original engine in.

I won't bore you all with the details, but anyone interested can view
the car at:- http://www.asrt76.dsl.pipex.com/

£5,500 buys it plus any shipping costs etc. I feel this is a bargain
for a rare factory car in this condidtion?

Pleae mail me with any questions.

Many thanks

Andy

Andy,
I can't seem to pull up pics. of your car. I am trying to locate a
Marcos for my father in law any idea how much it would cost to get to the
states? Would it still be importable? I assume it is a right hand drive as well.

Hal,
Remember that Garry does a lot of business in England & ships
containers of parts AND cars to the states. I was just in contact
with him & he is looking at a car for me over there (not a Marcos) --
- he stated that he is filling a container now to ship within the
next month or so & that there is still room in it. I was able to
see a couple of the pix, it's yellow with a black vinyl (I think)
interior, it has the sunroof & the later perspex light covers w/o
the exposed seals.

Hal,

From a features perspective, think of the Triumph 2.5 model as the 3 litre
Volvo model with a different drivetrain. The interior of Andy's car also has
a modified console, containing air vents, electric window switches, etc.

Hi Guys,

The Triumph engined cars are indeed based on 3 ltr Volvo's.
My car is right hand drive, yellow, and has a black vynil interior.
It has only covered 59,000 miles and has an extensive restoration
file - no pics, but every single bill and reciept for every nut bolt
and washer. The restoration was done in the mid 80's and has been
stored most of the time since.

Please feel free to ask any questions.

Thanks
Andy

Marcos 1600 GT for sale on eBay - California

2005-03-06 by Andy&Alison Seward

Fellow Marcos Maniacs,

There is a 1968 Marcos 1600GT for sale on eBay. Car is located in
California.

Looks like a major project to bring back, but it would be great if someone
in our group would take on the work. Here's the Link:

Good Luck!
