Hi,

I use my 1970 3 litre as my daily car, and with winter fast 
approaching I'm interested in improving the rather poor windscreen 
demist/interior heating generally.

Has anyone retro fitted a more modern heater? Any ideas what the 
later mantulas used and whether it was any better?

Given the age of the cars you may wish to check your current header coil. You can test with a back flush while it is in the car with a garden hose. This made a huge difference in mine! The other problem is the volume of air (the current fan is almost a joke) you can replace this with almost any unit for improvement (I rebuild and engineered mine) for additional improvements.
