Hi all, I've got a feeling that a baulk ring is the UK equivalent of our sybchronizer ring over here in the US. Is that true?? The repair shop wants way too many $$ to repair my gearbox so I'll do it myself! Burton Power has baulk rings for the Type 5 gearbox and I just want to make sure they're synchronizers before ordering them. Thanks, Don Lattimer #3m5759 Willits, CA

Hi Don, It's been a while but a synchronizer ring is probably a synchromesh ring in the UK. I can't say I've ever heard of a baulk ring. I'd be interested to hear what it is. Regards, Paul Dransfield 3 litre Volvo

It has taken me what seems like years to get to this point ,but I am
just finishing the wet sand on the primer and it goes to the paint
shop tomorrow.I have changed my mind on the color a few times but I
decided on a Millenium Silver,I would love to paint it BRG but even
with all the hours of blocking and wet sanding I can't get it straight
enough for a dark color.......this summer is looking good though, and
hopefully take it to Woodward Dream Cruise in August
