Hi Don, It's been a while but a synchronizer ring is probably a synchromesh ring in the UK. I can't say I've ever heard of a baulk ring. I'd be interested to hear what it is. Hi all, I've got a feeling that a baulk ring is the UK equivalent of our sybchronizer ring over here in the US. Is that true?? The repair shop wants way too many $$ to repair my gearbox so I'll do it myself! Burton Power has baulk rings for the Type 5 gearbox and I just want to make sure they're synchronizers before ordering them.
