"looks great"....
If all you had to do was look and admire it that would be great
but in the real world I will be beating the living crap out of it....
I do have concerns over the ride height and the spring firmness....
it is kind of hard setting it up without the body and everything else
bolted up, but I have made provisions in the upper shock connection
for adjustment.....not infinite....but more than enough to allow
adjustment.
The engine is the Rover 3.5 litre V8 ........The stacks will clear
the bonnet.......I machined the stacks down to 1" total
height..........lowered the engine in the chassis by 1" and fabricated
an aluminum oil pan that is 1.5" shallower than stock......the
lowest point on the car is the clutch slave cylinder.......the body
is at the block sand stage at present.........next spring is the
wish date for completion......I don't know if you can see in the pics
but I did graft on rear disc brakes from a 1984 Fiero the discs are
the same thickness and almost the same dia. as the GT6...............
there will be be an adjustable brake proportioning valve inside the
car........the parking brake mechanism was a bit of a nightmare but
I eventually got it right.
I realize the purists amongst us might not appreciate what I have
done but I feel that with the improved performance you must have
improved braking while still looking origional.
