Roll cage

Roll cage

2002-05-29 by a5h_pm

Hello again,

You will be pleased to here my car is slowly progressing. This
weekend I intend to attempt to trim some of the interior - thanks to
those who let me know what is carpeted and what is vinyl/leather, I
am sticking to the original vinyl for the moment at least until the
car is running. Also thanks for the info on the sterring, I really
did try many time to get the top section out to no avail! as it
happens the whole shooting match is quite shot all the UJ's are
really sloppy, that replacing it really is the only sensible thing to
do.

A question for you guys, have any of you fitted a roll bar to the
car? and if so what time where does it mount approx cost etc please?
I am considering having one fitted before the glass goes in since
this make the whole job that little bit easier! :-) Clearly visibilty
will be further reduced if a diagonally braced whoop is fitted
accross the rear seats but this would make an ideal place to mount a
full harness etc and give me a little more confidence in the car!

Thanks once again, and I promise to add more pics to my site soon.
BTW I have scanned in the build manual I recieved from Mike Denman
and this should hopefully be available on the Marcos Maniacs site
soon (Jeff is pretty busy by the sounds of things). I will also do
the others as and when I get them,

Regards

I've looked at several Marcos with roll bars installed. The one
that Mike Denman but in his car was the best of the group, I think Mike said
he custom build his. I suggest you contact him for any suggestions he might
have.
