Marcos Maniacs

Ok next stupid question, does anyone here know the source of the 
combined interior mirror/sunvisors found in my car? they look a 
little Triumph in nature but I could be very wrong!

Also any opinions on me using the standard 4 speed box from the V4 
with the V6 would be greatfully appreciated, I know the box will take 
it, it's just a matter of it it worth holding out for a 4 speed with 
Overdrive, or even a 5 speed box? - I am fitting the wiring loom with 
overdrive already just in case!

OK next is the source of the blower unit under the bonnet, it appears 
to be a Lucas unit? I think I can replace just the motor with that of 
an MGB or the like?

As far as I know no Marcos (certainly pre Mantara) ever came with 
sunvisors as standard (a number of roadtests lament their absence), 
so use whatever fits! :^)

I'd really strongly urge you NOT to use the standard V4 4 speed with 
the V6 - Without overdrive the ratios are terrible (Not that 
brilliant even with it!) being MUCH too low geared. The 5 speed 
sounds a good option, which I've been half-heartedly exploring for 
some years now...

As per the Stan Gray document I referenced previously:

The V6 models used the heater blower from a 1967 Hillman Super Minx, BUT the
direction of rotation must be changed

It's probably common to other vehicles. I don't have a 1967 catalog listing
for blower units to check.

The fan/blower unit on my '71 V6 is a "Smiths".  Code # FHB 
5302/75/PM.  Hope that's some help!

blower unit FHB.5402/24
