MarcosManiacs, Does anybody happen to have a picture of how / or what attaches to the bottom of the firewall that attaches the fresh air intake to the heater box? Is it just some sort of bracket that attaches a hose or is there some sort of plenum? On my car the Smiths heater box is mounted over a 6 inch hole that is cut in the firewall but I cannot see where anything was attached to the hole in the firewall. Another item that i am concerned about is the master cylinder box. When I purchased my car I discovered that large amounts of heat would blow through the large hole in the firewall where the pedals come through. I solved this problem temporarily by stuffing foam rubber around all the edges of the box. Once I did this the car became almost comfortable to drive. What solutions have other members of the group come up with to seal this area of the firewall? Bob Magnotti 1600 Gt #5179
