Is the cylinder beyond the "honing" stage?  I honed mine and they 
work just fine.  No leaks.  The rubber seals shouldn't be hard to 
get.  What bore is the cylinder??  5/8" or 3/4" or 7/8" ?  I might 
have the seal depending on the size.
