Maniacs,

I have a 71 with the Ford Essex V6.  It still has the original 
generator installed (chrome plated tho).  I'm thinking of converting 
to an alternator when I install the Pertronix ignition.

Question:  Have any of you done this?  If so, what brand/model 
alternator was used?  How involved is the wiring change?
